About
Whacking Daze is a queer community that started in 2020 in Copenhagen by Lucy, Astrid, Maria, Marek & Rakul. Together with the community we practise the culture and history of the dancestyle Whacking/Punking and invite international artists to come and share their knowledge and history. Every monday we have a free session from 19.15-21.00 at Game, Streetmekka, where everyone is welcome. We are looking very much forward to session with you at Dansehallerne!
DJ Robin Flux
Robin Flux is a multifaceted DJ/producer, dancer and curator, driven by his passion for exploring the rich cultural heritage of global dance and club cultures from the US to Asia. Through his artistic journey that spans iconic venues and functions from NYC, Chicago and Detroit, to Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist. His way of performing is heavily inspired by his background as a dancer, playful and daring, shifting in rhythm and pace across genre borders. As an active member of the ballroom, whacking and house dance scenes, he is dedicated to foster community building and cultural exchange at the intersection of dance and club culture, curating a diverse range of club concepts, dance sessions, performances and community events that nurture togetherness, joy, and self-expression.
